- Sign in and add your photos (any camera — phone, DSLR, drone).
- Optionally refine: masks, line constraints and manual control points for tricky scenes.
- Pick quality and output size, then hit Stitch.
- Fix the result: rotate, tone, blur brush, gap repair.
- Check it in the built-in 360° viewer and export with VR metadata (GPano).
Shoot like a pro: parallax & the nodal point
Two concepts decide whether your panorama stitches perfectly or shows seams. Master them and your phone will outperform expensive gear.
What is parallax?
Hold a finger in front of your face and close one eye, then the other — the finger jumps against the background. That jump is parallax: when the camera moves between shots, near and far objects shift differently, and the stitcher cannot align both at once. The result: ghosting and broken lines exactly where two photos meet.
The nodal point (no-parallax point)
Every lens has one special point — the entrance pupil, often called the nodal point. Rotate the camera around THAT point and near and far objects keep their alignment in every shot: zero parallax, invisible seams. Rotate around your body or the tripod screw instead, and the lens swings on an arc — every photo is taken from a slightly different place. Our free 3D-printable adapter keeps your phone’s lens exactly on the pivot.
Best practices for flawless panoramas
Smartphone vs. 360° camera — the honest answer
A dedicated 360° camera (Insta360, Ricoh Theta…) is one-click convenient and its out-of-the-box results look great. But it is a real investment, and its two fisheye lenses cap the resolution. A modern smartphone shoots each direction at far higher detail — so once you practise the basics above, an iPano360 panorama from your phone can match and often exceed a consumer 360° camera.
